Field IR Patch – Covert
To protect yourself against friendly fire in covert operations, Infrared patch is your best choice.
This IFF patch is seen under darkness with a Night Vision device (NVG) so you remain safe and hidden from the enemy.

Garrison IR Patch – Non-covert
Working in the dark is dangerous. And you need to avoid injury.
The IR patch is worn when the danger of being hit by a car is greater than being hit by a bullet.
While this IR patch can be viewed by Night Vision devices, this IR patch is NOT covert.

Photo-luminescent Patch
The Photo-luminescent “glow in the dark” patch will protect you against accidents during activities or operations in the dark without the need for advanced equipment.
A charged patch gives off a blue green glow for up to 8 hours of protection.

Thermal Film Patch
Using a thermal imager (FLIR), your thermal patch will appear black hot or white hot depending on your device settings. Either setting will you give you the information you need.
Unlike IR patches, thermal patches can be detected through smoke, sand, and fog. Your best ID choice for bad weather conditions.
